Conhecido na cidade onde residia como “Zé Antônio”, ele vivia sozinho e era uma figura bastante conhecida por ter construído um pequeno hotel na região. Infelizmente, Zé Antônio faleceu recentemente em decorrência de uma parada cardíaca. Desde então, seu corpo está sob cuidados das autoridades, mas aguarda liberação por parte de algum familiar para que possa receber um sepultamento digno.
Até o momento, nenhum parente foi localizado, o que tem mobilizado moradores e pessoas próximas em um esforço conjunto para encontrar qualquer pessoa que possa ajudar com informações sobre sua família, especialmente em Macaíba ou regiões próximas.
